V. A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences (ICS) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, until December 02, 1991, The Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Soviet Union, founded in June 1939 as Institute of Automation and Remote Control under the auspices of the Technical Sciences Department of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The ICS was the place where Kaissa was developed, which became the First World Computer Chess Champion in 1974. In 1998, the Institute was named after academician Vadim Alexandrovich Trapeznikov (1905 – 1994), director of ICS from 1951 until 1987 [2].
