Heuristic Alpha,
the first PC chess program of Julio Kaplan's Heuristic Software developed in 1990/1991 by principal engine author Don Dailey and Larry Kaufman. Alpha played a strong Harvard Cup 1991 with 2 out of 4 beating the two grandmasters Patrick Wolff and Michael Rohde [1], and the Aegon 1992 with 3 out of 6, but was not commercially market under this name.
