Freezer,
an endgame analysis tool by Eiko Bleicher running under Windows able to generate restricted endgame databases with up to eight pieces or even more with blocked pawns, by relying on A priory information in the database generation process using six piece Nalimov Tablebases. User defined rules for piece-square combinations and material balance are essential to significantly reduce the number of total positions and generation time, otherwise restricted to 2^29 = 536,870,912 positions [1]. Freezer is commercial, first released in May 2005, and also available through shredderchess.com [2].
