Fabio Gobbato,
an Italian computer chess programmer, and author of the UCI compliant chess engine Pedone, which had it tournament debut at the IGT 2013, and already won the IGT 2014 with 6/7! He has further written the didactic open source chess engine QBBEngine to demonstrate how to use quad-bitboards [2], and the tool ParserCutechess, which parses the output of Cutechess-cli to create match statistics [3]. In July 2021, Fabio Gobbato announced his chess engine Revenge as commercial successor of Pedone [4].
