Excalibur Grandmaster, (Excalibur Karpov Grandmaster, Excalibur Grandmaster Platinum)
a dedicated chess computer by Excalibur Electronics, released in 1997 [2]. The computer has a H8/3214 controller running at 12 MHz with 32 KiB ROM and 1 KiB RAM [3], and features a large sensory board along with two LCDs, and a control button panel. The H8 program was written by Ron Nelson with support and opening book by chess consultant Larry Kaufman [4] [5].
