Dusty and dirty PC [1]

Dirty,
a WinBoard compliant chess engine developed since mid 2007 as team effort by Pradu Kannan, Andres Valverde and Fonzy Bluemers, initiated after a chat at Fonzy's Dirty Dozen broadcast [2]. The search, initially from Buzz, is developed by Pradu Kannan, since version 14M-22, March 2010, Fonzy Bluemers is working on the search as well. The evaluation is mainly written by Andres Valverde, in the beginning incorporated from his EveAnn engine, with Fonzy Bluemers is tweaking it also. Both search and evaluation were further optimized by Rémi Coulom's CLOP [3]. Dirty 10APR2015 supports SMP-search based on the framework of FireFly by Andrew Fan [4].

Dirty CUCUMBER

Dirty CUCUMBER, released in November 2018, improved with changed move ordering also by implementing the countermove heuristic, more efficient transposition table lookup, and a tuned evaluation [5].

Tournament Play

Dirty played the ACCA 2008, various ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championships, and the CCT11 and CCT12 online, and the CCC 2009 and many CSVN tournaments over the board, such as ICT 2013 (runner up), and since 2014 regularly the CSVN Programmers Tournaments operated by Fonzy Bluemers, becoming third at the PT 46, PT 48, and PT 52.

If you look closely, you can see that the graphics card cooler fan has become so hot that it has completely melted off from itself. Image by Arvutistuudio, January 09, 2012, Wikimedia Commons
