Deus X (DeusX),
a chess playing entity powered by Leela Chess Zero to produce (train) and use (during game play) the weights of the convolutional neural network, relaxing the "Zero" paradigm of pure reinforcement learning by supervised learning, that is feeding in high quality games played by other strong chess playing entities.

Tournament Play

Deus X controversially participated at TCEC Season 13 together with its anchestor Lc0 [2], but did not meet TCEC's updated uniqueness criteria in subsequent seasons [3]. Deus X further played the PT 54 over the board, running on 2 x Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 and 8 CPU cores, where it won ahead of Shredder and Jonny, and apparently became prototype of the commercial ChessBase cloud project Fat Fritz [4].
