David Forthoffer [1]

David Forthoffer,
an American computer scientist, chess player, national master [2], and early Endgame Tablebases researcher. Along with primary author Sito Dekker and Lars Rasmussen he contributed to the automated database generation program Retro, considering both en passant and castling [3], which revealed five discrepancies in KRKB [4] from the numbers published by Jaap van den Herik and Bob Herschberg, et al.[5].
