Chessnut,
a microcomputer chess program by Geoffrey Bulmer which participated at the European MCC 1981, the European MCC 1983 running on a modified Acorn Computer with a 6502 processor [2], and the WMCCC 1984 running on a Commodore 64, where it won the title of Amateur World Microcomputer Chess Champion by default [3]. An improved version of Chessnut was also commercially released in 1981 by Acornsoft as Atom Chess for the Acorn Atom.
