The Chess Programs World Tournament in Personal Computers took place from May 28 to 31, 1981 in Paris, France, organized by Pierre Nolot and sponsored by L'Ordinateur individuel. The seven-round Swiss tournament, intended as Micro Computer World Championship, acknowledged by the French Chess Federation, lacked the sanction of ICCA and FIDE [1] .
