Tai-Ming Parng,
a Taiwanese electrical engineer and computer scientist, retired professor at department of electrical engineering, National Taiwan University, and CTO at Asus [1]. As thesis advisor of Yi-Fan Ke [2], he co-authored on parallel chess hardware and the Guard Heuristic, which uses the control of squares to order and prune moves in Chess and Chinese Chess [3].
